Weekend of In-Depth Bible Teaching for Men and Women (Posted 2/14/2017)
Renewal 2017 - "Outsiders and Insiders: The Story of Redemption" (.7 CEU)
March 3 & 4, 2017
at Lynn Haven United Methodist Church, Panama City, FL
For details and to register visit  This event is on the AWFC calendar with map here.

Are you hungry to know more of God?  Are you occasionally confused about how the Old Testament relates to Christ?   Are you exhausted and in need of a “pause”?   Renewal 2017 is an opportunity for all who seek Jesus to take a break from their regular schedules and to gather together for spiritual renewal.  We invite you to set aside this weekend on your calendar, to open your mind for excellent teaching, to open your heart for a special worship experience, and to open your eyes to see the work of God in this world.

During the two-day conference Dr. Sandra Richter (Ph.D., Harvard University) will clearly and powerfully teach God's story of love and redemption through the book of Ruth. Dr. Richter is perhaps best known for her book and subsequent video-based study The Epic of Eden: Understanding The Old Testament. She is currently a member of the faculty at Wheaton College and previously served at Asbury Theological Seminary.

The event registration fee is $25 until Feb 15 and will rise to $35 after that date. The registration fee includes a Chik-Fil-A boxed lunch on Saturday.  Registration can be accomplished here.
The Rev Dr. Jeff Spicer, AWFC Continuing Education Chair, has approved .7 CEU for any clergy who attend the conference.
Should there be any questions, please contact Rudy Olivo at or 850.248.3800.
For Immediate Release:  Pensacola District Town Hall Meetings with Bishop Graves (Posted 2/10/2017)
Town Hall Meeting for Laity 4 p.m. February 26 (RSVP)
Preachers’ Meeting at 10 a.m. February 27
Local Pastors’ Meeting at 6 p.m. February 27

Dear Clergy and Laity of the Pensacola District:
Bishop David Graves will be in the Pensacola District February 26-28.  On Sunday, February 26, at 4 p.m., we will have the Bishop’s “Town Hall Meeting” for the LAITY of our District at Pensacola First United Methodist Church. A light dinner of soup and sandwiches will be provided. If you plan to be in attendance, we ask you to call or e-mail the Pensacola District Office no later than Friday, February 17, by 12:00 noon.*  There will be no cost for the dinner.  This will be a great time for the laity to meet with Bishop Graves in a Town Hall Meeting format and ask him questions that may be on your mind and heart.
On Monday, February 27, at 10:00 a.m., we will have a District PREACHERS’ MEETING with the Bishop at Ft. Walton Beach First United Methodist Church.  This will also give you the opportunity to ask the Bishop questions that may be of concern.  That evening at 6:00 p.m. we will have another Preachers’ meeting for our LOCAL PASTORS at Bellview United Methodist Church.  If you are a local pastor and can come to the 10:00 a.m. meeting, you are more than welcome to do so.  If you are an elder or other clergy status and can’t be at the 10:00 a.m. meeting, you are welcome to come to the one in the evening.  Some of our Local Pastors have other jobs during the day and we want them to have time with the Bishop as well.
Fellow colleagues, this is IMPORTANT!  I expect “all hands on deck” or an excuse why you can’t be there.  I know some will be at the Board of Ordained Ministry meeting.  I know some will be out of town for required classes.  If you can’t be there, let the District Office know.  If not, I expect to see you at one of our meetings.
On Tuesday the 28th, we will be visiting ministers and churches across the District.
If you have any questions or issues, give me a call and we will talk about it.  I look forward to seeing you and to our time with Bishop Graves.
Thanks in advance for your attention and consideration in this matter.

Dr. Tim Trent
Pensacola District Superintendent

PUMCM Needs Shelving (Posted 9/16/2016)
Greetings from PUMCM!
Exciting things are happening at Pensacola United Methodist Community Ministries. We are in the process of improving the space in our thrift shop in order to better serve ministry needs of our neighbors and in the hopes of attracting even more bargain hunters to the store.
I'm writing this today to ask for your partnership in this effort. We are in dire need of more shelving. We need units that can display toys, home goods, books, and electronics. Metal, wood, and plastic units would all be welcomed.
Here's how you can help:
* Pray for our ministry.
* Recruit groups in your congregation (Sunday School classes, youth groups, UMM, etc.) to host a "build" event to benefit the store. You can choose the size, design, and color of the unit. We would love it if you branded it somehow to show the group that built it.
* Donate shelves that are in good condition.
* Individuals can underwrite the cost of new shelving. You fund, we handle the purchase.
* Did I mention pray for our ministry?
Items can be dropped off at 2600 West Strong Street in Pensacola Tuesdays through Saturdays 9 a.m.-5 p.m.   If you need more information contact Pastor Robin Noble at 850-454-7652.
Thank you for helping us serve our Brownsville Community with love!
