Death Announcement
Please continue in prayer for Monette Walker and family. Rev. Charles Walker (retired) passed away early this morning, June 27, in Pensacola. A celebration of life service will be held at Mary Esther United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 22.  There will be a time to greet the family at 10:00 a.m. with the service following at 11:00 a.m.

Congratulations to Rev. Andres Doimeadios, the AWF Conference clergy winner of the Denman Evangelism Award!! Pastor Andres is the Pensacola District Hispanic Ministries Pastor of Casa de Dios Gateway of Heaven. Award bios are at
Congratulations, Gonzalez UMC!
At the 2017 AWF Annual Conference Rev. Dan Pezet congratulated Gonzalez United Methodist Church on being the first church in the conference to officially complete the Antioch Project from inception to completion. More about the Antioch Project is at
Special Offerings
Thank you for your donations to annual conference missional offerings. Over $46,022 was collected for AWFC Local Mission Agencies and more than $2,700 was collected for the Ministerial Education Fund. This year donating by texting was available.
UMCOR Relief Kits
Thank you for your donations of UMCOR relief kits. 4,944 UMCOR kits were collected over the course of the annual conference. Baypines District collected the most - 1,720 kits. Second was Montgomery-Prattville District - 1,641 kits.
New This Year
New to the 2017 Annual Conference was the addition of morning worship services on Monday through Wednesday. A special emphasis was made to involve people from around the conference representing the various stages of ministry, which included seminary students, local pastors, deacons, elders, laity, clergy spouses and conference staff. Also new to conference was the availability of translating devices for Hispanic clergy and lay during business sessions. Listening devices were also provided for those who are hearing impaired.
2018 Annual Conference
The 2018 session of the AWF Annual Conference will be held June 3-6, 2018, at Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church in Montgomery.

General Conference 2019
Bishop Graves reminded voting members of the special called session of General Conference. The current delegation, which was elected two years ago, was recognized and will continue to represent the Alabama-West Florida Conference at the special called session in Missouri in February of 2019. Dr. Larry Bryars will move to first clergy delegate and Rev. June Jernigan will move from first alternate to a general conference delegate.

Update Posted May 15, 2017 - Ongoing Request
Update on Rev. Joe Hensel 
Please continue to pray for Rev. Joe Hensel and his wife, Joy. Doctors have determined that his brain tumor is inoperable. Please pray for him as he will be undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Joe is pastor at Farm Hill United Methodist Church.
