Update July 4, 2017:

Hispanic Ministries Gets a Church from the District Board
It was a small, simple ceremony but an historic one. Thursday morning, June 29, 2017, the Pensacola District Board of Church Development, represented by Duane Keck, Al Bruner, and Owen Sharp, presented three gifts to Pensacola District Hispanic/Latino Ministries, represented by Pastor Andres' Doimeadios. Pastor Doimeadios has led the ministry since 2011 and also, by the way, was the clergy winner of the 2017 AWF Annual Conference Denman Evangelism Award.

One of the gifts from the District Board was the deed to property on Pace Boulevard in Pensacola for Pastor Doimeadios to set up a permanent location for the Casa de Dios Puerta del Cielo congregation to meet. (The name of the congregation translates to "House of God Gateway to Heaven.")  The second gift was the keys to all the buildings on the property. The third was $10,000 to use as the pastor sees fit to grow his church and congregation.

The congregation will continue to meet at its current locations as the new site is renovated. News of this wonderful event made page 3A of the local Sunday morning paper. An article with pictures about it is in the PNJ paper here.
