MEF Monies available for Seminary Students. If you are a certified candidate attending seminary, then you are eligible for Ministerial Education Funds (MEF) from our conference. Just go to www.awfumc.org/bom and download the 2010 Ministerial Education Fund application. Students can also find known scholarship opportunities and conference policies concerning MEF in the Policies and Procedures Manual at the same website. Please note: If you received MEF monies last semester, it is your responsibility to see that your seminary registrar sends a verification of the number of hours being taken in the term in which you are currently enrolled to Robin Wilson, Director of Ministerial Services for the Alabama West Florida Conference, robin@awfumc.org or 888.873.3127.

- Student Scholarships and Loans. Students who need financial help for college costs can apply online for United Methodist scholarships or loans. Students can also repay their loans online. Visit www.gbhem.org and click on the Loans and Scholarships button. In July 2009 Rev. Robin Wilson put together a list of scholarships and loans. Click here for the pdf.
- Young People - Grants for Ministries with Young People. (GBOD) - Grants are available to fund dynamic, creative ministries with young people that can serve as model programs for other organizations throughout the connection. Visit http://www.gbod.org/youngpeople/grants/grants.htm.
